Speaking of spending money for having fun while you are not super-flush with money, Kenny and I are going on 2 separate ski trips in Europe this winter, a month in Sun Valley, a season share at Hunter, Killington here and there, and…who knows, this winter and spring. Yes, I should be saving that money, not spending it on ski trips, but last winter in France, having a Club Med French snowboard teacher all to myself while being led around one of the most beautiful places on earth, in fresh powder on my snowboard, I decided, “this is what I live for.” So, I am making it happen! And I think it will turn out all right!

Yes, as I said “I think it will turn out alright.”
As I write, the world is quarantining, skiing in state requires reservations which cannot always be gotten. Going to Vermont from NY requires a test or a waiting period. Even going to a shared ski house locally may not be wise. I wouldn’t want to go on an airplane.
And so, I am very happy I took extra ski vacations last year. Our trip to wonderful Sun Valley, Idaho, was cut short in March by the beginning of the “Pan…..” I am relaxing at home, watching the snow fall as I write, getting ready to ski down the little hill in my yard. And looking back fondly at the trips I had last winter. My gut guided me correctly, as always.
